The University Libraries has a rich collection of online information resources to support your research, including thousands of e-journals and hundreds of article databases. You can access any of these information resources by logging in with your GVSU username and password.

Do Better Research
The Knowledge Market offers online support in two ways: online peer consultations during open hours and browsable resources that are available 24/7.
Get articles online
Millions of articles are available through our library search or by browsing research databases. If we don’t have the article you need, we can get it from another library through our Document Delivery service.
Software
Library Search Privacy Notice
Our Library Search provider, EBSCO, periodically requests permission to store some user data (such as your GVSU username) to allow full functionality of our software. This is in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You do not have to allow them to store this data, but you will not be able to request books, place holds, or use any features of your library account online that require personalization. Having technical problems using the University Libraries' website? You can chat with us or Report the Problem directly to our technical experts. Remember to provide as much detail as possible.
Need Adobe software?
If you need Adobe software for one of your courses, email [email protected] with your first and last name, GVSU email, and the course you need the software for. Once approved, you will have access through the end of the semester.
Need help with other software?
IT Services can provide general help with Blackboard, Collaborate, Ally, Panopto, and Respondus LockDown Browser/Monitor.

Find e-books, articles, online journals, and more through our Library Search. Browse over 300 subject-specific research databases.
Online Learning Modules
The University Libraries has online tutorials to help students navigation scholarly research. You can embed these in Blackboard, or coordinate with your liaison librarian to work them into library instruction.
Subject & Course Guides
Your Liaison Librarian maintains research guides in your discipline that can be integrated into Blackboard. They can also work with you to create guides for specific courses.

We can help you better understand fair use and copyright as you move materials online.

Technology-related Information
GVSU maintains a complete list of technology-related information for teaching.
You do not need VPN (Pulse Secure) for accessing library resources. You will be asked to log in with your GVSU username and password when using library databases. Please keep the VPN system open for those working from home that need to use it.
